Licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Alaska, and Texas, Cleve Shirey, MD, resides in Tucson, where he provides inpatient psychiatric care. He holds a bachelor of science in psychology from Baylor University and studied medicine at Texas A&M. Dr. Cleve Shirey completed courses at College Station and Temple before graduating with an MD. Dr. Shirey served a majority of his career in Alaska, providing care to patients in Anchorage, Seward, and Valdez. He spent time as medical director at the Alaska Psychiatry Institute and staff psychiatrist at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

In 2002, Dr. Shirey established the Meridian Consulting Group. As director, he cared for patients suffering from anxiety disorders and chronic pain.
