C. Colin Supko
Colin Supko is the CEO and Founder of the Stanford Tech startup company Zikl.com. Zikl is a software platform that is a hyper-local, mobile, and social network based marketplace focused on disrupting current online peer to peer second hand markets through the trust and reputation found offline and online. Additionally, Colin has acted as co-founder , early investor and equity holder for the consumer electronics and venture funded company Munitio.com and the E-commerce company Instock.com. Colin is currently assigned to SEAL Team 17 where he commands 107 sailors as the Commanding Officer of the West Coast Naval Reserve SEAL Unit. Colin began his career as a Surface Warfare Officer making two deployment to South America and the Caribbean from 1999 to 2001. After the tragic events of 9-11 he volunteered for and was selected to attend Naval Special Warfare (SEAL) training. He began his SEAL career in January 2002, attending the Basic Underwater Demolition School and graduated with class 240. Colin deployed twice to combat missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom, first as Assistant Platoon Commander and then as Platoon Commander assigned to SEAL Team FIVE. In 2007 he was assigned to the Naval Special Warfare Command where he acted as the deputy acquisitions and requirements officer working for a two star SEAL Admiral. In 2008, he was promoted early to Lieutenant Commander and took command of a Task Unit, comprised of three SEAL Platoons, at SEAL Team SEVEN. In this role he deployed for a third time to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Colin has traveled to over 79 countries. His adventures have included a climb to the roof top of Africa summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2010, a walk along the Inca Trail to the heights of Machu Picchu where he proposed to his wife, and diving the Blue Hole off the South Pacific island of Guam. He is married to Ms. Stephanie Barker of Hamden CT and currently resides in San Francisco CA.
