Colleen Piccone

Colleen Piccone’s highly accomplished record as an attorney rests on her well-rounded background as a civil servant. An expert on topics related to border enforcement, IPR, money laundering, and forfeiture, Ms. Piccone is highly sought after as a speaker, advisor, educator, and consultant by law enforcement agencies in the United States government. Presently serving as Deputy Associate Chief Counsel for United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Ms. Piccone acts as Deputy Manager for the CBP’s legal offices in the Northeastern United States. Her duties in this capacity include providing legal advice for the CBP’s officers and other employees. Her work at four departments of the federal government—State, Treasury, Justice, and Homeland Security —underscores her unique understanding of national law enforcement efforts. Ms. Piccone’s versatile roles with the CBP reflect her diverse and comprehensive expertise in international legal matters.

In 2003, she served in Washington, D.C., on special assignment to create a Customs Enforcement Law Division for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A key speaker at the DHS’s national conferences during her time in Washington, Colleen Piccone received recognition from ICE for her contributions as a primary legal advisor. Other accolades in her multifaceted professional history include numerous awards for her performance at the Department of the Treasury and the DHS; a Commissioner of U.S. Customs’ Enforcement Action of the Year Award; and the Director’s Award for Superior Performance as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney from the Department of Justice for a prosecution involving the illegal sale of military aircraft parts to Iran.

In addition to her professional roles, Colleen Piccone also pursues a flourishing hobby as a photographer. Working primarily in the Tri-State Area, she takes candid and posed shots for a variety of clientele. Ms. Piccone’s charitable causes include Bridges of Hope, a local support project for underprivileged families.
