Cora Lawrence
My name is Cora Lawrence. I am a dedicated elementary teacher eager to establish a full-time teaching career. I recently earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies and my Masters of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.
My student teaching was done in the Beaumont Unified and Corona/Norco school districts. I worked while going to school as both a regular and long term substitute. This allowed me to put theory into practice immediately and gain experience.
My superiors have complimented my performance in teaching grades K-12. They have emphasized my proven track record with excellent evaluations, my strong passion for elementary education, and an unwavering commitment to optimizing student and school success. Colleagues would describe me as an enthusiastic, creative, and passionate educator and mentor. It has been proven that all children can learn and thrive in an environment that is stimulating, comforting, and appropriate to their unique talents and abilities.
I have found the quote from Haim Ginott "I am the decisive element in the classroom..." to be true. Responsibility for student learning is a must and I am flexible so that the needs of all students in my classroom can be met. As an educator who is confident that with my diverse background there is much to offer and I would be honored to work with your district.
