Cory Meacham

Cory Meacham is an award-winning writer and teacher based in San Diego, California. He has been tutoring students of all ages on written and spoken communications skills for more than a decade, focusing on essay writing, test taking, and public speaking.

Before he began teaching, Mr. Meacham was a professional journalist. His articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines around the world, and he is the author of How the Tiger Lost Its Stripes: An Exploration into the Endangerment of a Species (Harcourt, 1997). He taught journalism and writing at UCSD Extension in La Jolla, California, and he has lectured on the subject of tiger conservation at conferences, museums, and universities from Hong Kong to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and the Chinese embassy in London. He has been interviewed by CNN, The BBC, 60 Minutes, and numerous local news organizations.
