Courtney Perez

My family comes from many backgrounds and cultures, but the place I proudly call home is San Antonio, Texas. Growing up as the middle child of 6 children has been quite difficult, but it has also taught me responsibility as well as a sense of maturity. Just a little over two years ago I was blessed with welcoming my new stepmom and two younger stepbrother and sister into our enormous family. At the age of eight, my dad enrolled me into boxing class at the local gym he had been attending. After four years of boxing, I took the opportunity to join a kickboxing gym at just age twelve and have trained since then. Besides mix martial arts, in my spare time I enjoy things such as photography, dance, and even baking. In the future I plan to attend Texas State University to study the field of criminology. After college I would love to vacation in the beauty of Greece and maybe even live there.
