Cru London

CRU was established in 2014 by two Londoners, Tiago and Petru, who are lucky enough to travel to sunny Portugal on a regular basis. In the course of their explorations, they discovered a small artisan leather workshop owned and run by a family of three. Renato does the leather cutting, Lena the stitching and Dina the stamping and hardware fitting. As for the rich vegetable tanned leather, this makes its way over from just down the road. The small scale production really caught the attention and interest of the founders, knowing how rare such old savoir faire has become in recent years. One bespoke leather handbag was all it took to set off the chain of events. Inspired by London’s trendy East End, full of colour and creative energy, the designs were captured by the artisans. Together they form the lifeline of CRU London.
