Petrovna Cryptchic

Designer, Nurse, and Wardrobe in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Hi, call me Sasha !

I have been a nurse since 2011, working in acute care at St. Pauls, Mt.St.Joseph Hospitals and for the past 5 years as a Street Outreach/Primary Care Nurse in Vancouvers' Downtown Eastside community.

In 2017 I graduated from VCAD with a Fashion Design diploma. This new transition of submerging myself into the world of design has strengthened my passion for self expression. All the work I put my energy into feeds my soul.

I design and sew garments, direct and shoot photography, do fashion styling, create digital art, write and more !

Since graduating I have been employed in the film industry in the Wardrobe/Costume department. This has been excellent experience!

All the visual and wearable art I build is a necessary eruption from deep within myself. Thus I birthed the Cryptwear brand to bring custom culture for all of us that don't wish to try fit into society's mold.

The Crypt represents the setting of solitude which is used to create. To most people the image of a crypt is dismal, dark and dreary. Darkness is most often feared and avoided, assumed to be a negative force in a world where so many want to be stars. I like to think the stardust of which we are made shines brightest in the skies of night. This is why I choose the dungeon like setting to inspire my inner shadow side to bring forth designs which capture the lustrous light within.
