After earning a BA in economics and English from Stanford University, Curtis R. Tingley completed both a JD and MBA at the University of Santa Clara. Subsequently, Curtis R. Tingley obtained admission to the State Bar of California and began his career in law as a partner at the San Jose, California, office of Ropers Majeski, where he practiced for over two decades.
Since 2008, Curtis R. Tingley has served as managing partner of the San Jose-based law firm Tingley Piontkowski LLP. There, he draws on more than 30 years of experience representing companies in technology and other industries. With clients ranging from emerging start-up ventures to Fortune 500 companies, he provides legal services across an extensive scope of matters, such as intellectual property litigation, trademark and copyright issues, Internet law, construction disputes, business torts, and international law.
