Gould's Rule 6: In all things, leave people better than you find them. This is my passion. To that end, I have sought education, experience, practice, and coaching. Just before my 16th birthday, I realized that in order to break the ancestral mold into which birth thrust me I would have to constantly learn to change and grow. My first foray into this brave new world was learning to play the guitar and sing. It took years of practice before people would not walk away. I played until my fingers bled and in so doing discovered how focused I could be in learning. In the Navy, I volunteered for submarine service because it was different. That experience taught me how to learn. Eventually, I went to college and completed a BS in Physics, then years later three masters in various fields (MBA, Information Systems, and Project Management). Over the years, I've become an autodidactic polymath. Some of these abilities are: musician, singer, author, luthier, auto mechanic, electrician, electronics, seamstress, surfing, sailing, SCUBA, shell collector, cabinetmaker, project manager, and coach. The most complicated thing I've sought to learn is human nature about which I've become a student. The most important lesson I've learned is to help others to be better people.

Oh, and I took this picture.
