Da’Shon X. Hayes is a multi-talented musician and music educator with experience in symphony orchestra, opera, theatre orchestra, wind ensemble, chamber ensembles, film & television. His primary instrument in French Horn. His primary horn professors have included Michelle Stebleton - Horn Professor at Florida State School of Music and Principal Horn of Tallahassee Symphony, Joanna Yarborough - 2nd Horn of the Detroit Symphony, Paul Rancoon - Former Principal Horn of The Dallas Opera, and the Late Dr. Bill Capps.
Da’Shon is a tried-and-true product of Tallahassee, Florida. Born there in 1991, he completed grade school in the city and went on to receive two bachelor's degrees from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where he served as both the principal horn and clarinet player in the Wind Symphony (formerly Wind Ensemble) and participated in ensembles such as Horn Choir, Flute Choir, Clarinet Ensemble, and was even a featured soloist with the FAMU Steel Drum Ensemble at the 2014 Florida Classic Battle of the Bands.
Da’Shon's passion for the arts and musical gifts have allowed him to travel around the United States doing what he loves. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, on BET’s television series The Quad", the vh1 productions film "DrumLine: A New Beat”, and currently serves as the principal horn and solo clarinetist for the internationally acclaimed musical stage production "Drumline Live," which has toured in the US and Japan, completed a residency at Dollywood, and was the band behind Beyoncé's historic Coachella/"Beychella" performance.
His goal is to inspire the world by advancing music.
