DJ Walton is one of three founding members (Along with Erika Rose Hedman and Alicia Keys) of AK Worldwide, Inc. which serves as the base of operations for Keys. As President of AKW, DJ is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Ms. Keys’ live performances and appearances worldwide. DJ plays a pivotal role in the development of AKW’s new business initiatives outside of the music sector by establishing innovative strategic partnerships. He is the Co-Creator (along with his wife, Jessica) and Executive Producer of Ms. Key’s award-winning App “The Journals of Mama Mae & LeeLee” which was released on October, 2012. Prior to his current role at AKW, from 2003 to 2009, he served as President of FTGU Music, Inc., a full-service tour management and artist representation company that managed some of the most successful global tours for A-list clients like AEG, Alicia Keys and Britney Spears. In 2002, DJ founded Frum Tha Ground Up, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created by his vision to help young people define and achieve success through goal-focused programs. Workshops like The RISE Initiative ™ and similar goal achievement programs created by DJ for middle school and elementary students still exist today. In 2007, DJ founded FTGU’s Open Door Scholarship presented by Alicia Keys, which awarded four college scholarships to exceptional high school seniors in FL, LA, GA and NY. DJ and the scholarship program have been featured on CNN, USA Today, CBS, MTV and BET. DJ has a bachelor's degree in Communications from Jacksonville University (FL) where he was awarded two Academic All-Conference awards in Football (All-PFL) and Track & Field (All-TAAC) and was the first-ever JU recipient of the CBS Foundation Scholarship. DJ is the youngest speaker to deliver the keynote address before the Congressional Youth Leadership Council in Washington, DC and has received numerous awards from the community and university for his dedication to philanthropy.

DJ proudly serves as the Vice President of USA Boxing and has sat on the Board of Directors since 2013. DJ is married to an insanely gorgeous woman and has four children. He is an AIBA certified boxing coach.
