DR. GEORGE YOUNG, SR.

I was born in Memphis, Tn., 8th of 9 children and really appreciative for my Mother and Father. In th 11th grade fell in love with bookkeeping and so my undergraduate degree was in accounting. Always loved basketball and won a county championship in the 8th grade. I acknowledged my call (the actual call is another whole story) to minstry in 1983. Returned to school (MA-Ministry, MDiv,MBA and a D.Min) to further my career. Thelma Chambers-Young is my wife, Tamatha Smith (Memphis) my daughter, George Young (New Orleans) my son and three grandsons (Tam). Currently in pastoral ministry and substance abuse counseling along with many civic and communtiy activities.
