DuJuan E. Smith

DuJuan Smith currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). In this role, he oversees the university student conduct system for 28,000 students. Previously, he served as the Assistant Dean of Students for the Spring 2014 Around the World voyage for Semester at Sea and the University of Houston. He received his start in student conduct as the Coordinator of Judicial Affairs at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hill, Illinois.

Outisde of higher education, DuJuan is a Social Media Junkie who specializes in digital identity development. He currently works with people to align their personal and professional goals with their social media platforms. As a believer in the positive impact of social media, he also conducts workshops on various topics. Furthermore, DuJuan is a mentor and is currently working on launching a youth group for the Chicagoland area that will focus on helping young men between the ages of 7-14 who have been impacted by violence in their communities.

Mr. Smith completed his B.A. in Applied Sociology with a minor in Black Studies and M.S.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb, Illinois. DuJuan is affiliated with the Association of Student Conduct Administrators (ASCA), National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
