Damien Khamzin

Born on September 24th, 1989, in Irkutsk, Russia (Siberia), Damien (Originally Damir) Khamzin is a long-time resident of Vancouver, BC, and an active participant in the city's vibrant creative and political culture.
Since a young age, Damien has had an shown an aptitude for writing. Science fiction and fantasy are a staple in his literary diet, along with the works of Nietchze, Frost, Wordsworth and modern literary giants such as R. R. Martin, Terry Brooks, Chuck Palhanuik, among many others.
He focused the pursuit of writing by volunteering for independent blogs and producing SEO content for clients in the real estate and e-commerce sectors. Damien's inspiration for artistic journalism came from an overseas trip to Phuket, Thailand, where he worked for the Phuket Gazette as a reporter and editor of raw stories produced by the paper's Thai investigators.
His main focus so far is Vancouver's independent musicians. Damien has written a number of articles in the field, and is not genre specific. He is constantly seeking new inspiration not only in the form of musical talent but also art, photography, sciences and film. He is now working on his own website, its purpose is to share Vancouver's wonderful artistic community with the world.
