He has provided strategic communications and public affairs consulting to Fortune 500 as well as start-up businesses, non-profit organizations and government entities including: America’s largest daily newspaper, one of the busiest border crossings in North America, Canada’s 11th largest university, the nation’s largest single-campus medical school, Michigan’s most historic cities and best known tourist site, one of the top ten largest art fairs in America and other organizations.

In 2008, Dan was appointed by Detroit’s 61st Mayor, Kenneth V. Cockrel Jr., as the Communications Director and Press Secretary for the City of Detroit.
