Daniel (“Dan”) Cherrin is an attorney practicing Crisis, Litigation, Strategic Comunications and Public Affairs. Dan has 15 years of experience providing senior public relations and government relations counsel to corporations, not-for-profits and individual clients on state and federal regulatory and legislative matters, as well as issues affecting corporate and individual reputation, crisis management and the media. He blends his legal expertise and litigation experience with deep public policy insight and strategic communications capabilities for clients in the public eye.

Dan has developed a successful track record of positive legislative accomplishments for clients around issues affecting higher education, defense, economic development, homeland security, and international trade. He has provided strategic communications and public affairs consulting to Fortune 500 as well as start-up businesses, non-profit organizations and government entities including: America’s largest daily newspaper, one of the busiest border crossings in North America, Canada’s 11th largest university, the nation’s largest single-campus medical school, Michigan’s most historic cities and best known tourist site, one of the top ten largest art fairs in America and other organizations.

In 2008, Dan was appointed by Detroit’s 61st Mayor, Kenneth V. Cockrel Jr., as the Communications Director and Press Secretary for the City of Detroit. Dan is now an attorney with Fraser Trebilcock practicing public affairs, government relations, crisis management and public policy dispute resolution and is a partner with M10 Marketing.
