From the green age of 8, Danny Sims, a San Diego native, found himself obsessed with music. Starting with clarinet and working his way to guitar, it wasn't long before he found his home in electronic music. Heavy into trance and progressive house, it was easy to see that his musical obsession would soon lead to a much deeper connection with the world of EDM.

In June of 2010, as a short term resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Danny Sims picked up his first pieces of equipment: a set of Technics SL-1200 MK2 turntables, a Macbook Pro, and together with Serato Scratch Live, he took the next step in his musical journey. Before too long he found himself playing at local EDM nights around Jacksonville, including “Phuk The Politics,” “The MusicBox” and “Euphoria.”

Moving back to his home state, he made yet another turn on his road to musical enlightenment and entered the world of controllerism and music production, utilizing an Allen & Heath Xone:4D mixer/controller, Ableton Live and Traktor Scratch Pro. Sims currently travels across the US and Europe as a DJ, producer and as Regional Manager for Xpel Muzik, and holds residency at Euphoria in Jacksonville. He embraces a new approach on electronic music by pushing the boundaries of genres by merging elements from many genres to create a fresh, dynamic musical idea. Sims showcased his ideas throughout 2011, touring across the USA and Europe.
