When I was younger my dreams and goals read more like the bios of About.me staff picks. As life has unfolded and unforeseen challenges presented themselves, my plans didn't quite flow as intended. So I made lemonade!

As a caretaker for my elderly parents, I have realized every emotion imagined from self pity to the great pleasure of seeing their smiles and hearing their laughs each day.

Each day presents an opportunity to develop my character and use creativity to reach my goals.

While the 'Grand Plan' of my youth may not be playing out as I had expected, I am so grateful to wake up each day and experience everything this great world has to offer.

I am so excited to learn from others how I can share this fortune and give back to those with less.
