The owner of IPA Construction in Benicia, California, Darrick Chavis leads the full-service firm in completing renovations and new construction for residential and commercial clients. In addition to his work with IPA Construction, Darrick Chavis is an owner and investor with Platinum Group Advisers, overseeing the purchase, rehabilitation, and sale of various distressed and fire-damaged properties. In recognition of his professional accomplishments, he was named a 2018 Landlord of the Year by the state of California.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Chavis enjoys playing basketball for the IPA traveling team. He began his collegiate career at University of Louisville before transferring to California State University, and also played basketball overseas before injuries required his early retirement from the game. He also enjoys playing tennis, traveling to different countries, and trying new restaurants.
Mr. Chavis holds a bachelor of arts in human development and a master of business administration from California State University, East Bay.
