I’m a mature therapist with lots of life experience. I’ve had great relationships and not-so-good ones. And, yes, I’ve made many of the common and avoidable mistakes! My obsessive curiosity about what makes great relationships launched me into a second career in relationship and couple counselling.

I spent 40 years building a successful career in the technology industry culminating in several executive and leadership roles. In 2017 I started my own business as a freelance trainer, speaker, business consultant and coach before heading to university (for the first time) to study counselling and psychotherapy.

In 2024 I graduated from Abertay University with an Master’s degree in Counselling, immediately followed by a Certificate in Couple Counselling with Relationships Scotland. (These qualifications required a combined 200 hours of individual and couple counselling.)

I now operate my private practice from offices in Livingston, Scotland where I also volunteer as a counsellor for a local charity.

I was born in Birmingham and moved to Scotland in 1989. Home is now near Linlithgow, about 20 miles west of Edinburgh.
