Dave Malby, from San Jose, California, invented the Pet Rock Training Leash and Penny Bracelet in 1975. In 2002, he introduced CamStand ® for macro photography, used by FBI, CIA, and companies like Google. His CamStands aided post-Katrina photo recovery in 2006.
