Dave McRae is a full time professional voice artist and independent filmmaker residing in Toronto Ontario Canada. With more than 15 years of experience and the credentials to show for it, Dave is one of Canada's leading voice talents. McRae is a two time (2015, 2016) Voice Arts Award Nominee for Outstanding National TV Promo, Best Voiceover, for his work with the Canadian network T&E.
McRae is heard nationally as the narrator of Four Weddings Canada and What's For Sale With A View (both now in syndication and repeats), the network promo and imaging voice for the channel T&E, and the wildlife and nature channel Love Nature. Dave's voice has also appeared in the animated cartoons Fireman Sam, DOKI Adventures, and Worry Eaters.
McRae's voice has also been heard in commercials and promos for Big Brother Canada, The Toronto Blue Jays, Source For Sports, Toyota, Red Bull, Netflix, Time Warner Cable, The Shopping Channel, Next Issue, DELL, Nestle, Rogers, Disney, LCBO, KIA, Jack Astors, Ford, All Star Wings and Ribs, Rush Card and on such networks as CBC, AMC, TSN, CTV, NBC, SLICE, FOOD and CITY TV to name but a few.
McRae is also a filmmaker who creates original narratives and fan films. McRae writes, directs, shoots, produces and edits all of his productions. All of McRae's fan films pay tribute to the John Carpenter classic horror film Halloween (1978 film). He also plays the main antagonist Michael Myers in every one of the films. Collectively, his fan films have been viewed over 7 hundred thousand times (and counting) on YouTube.
