David McMorrow

David McMorrow began his professional career in teaching almost thirty-five years ago, in 1980. By 1987, however, David had decided that teaching was not where his future lay and used his talents to cross over into the word of financial services. Beginning with a sales consultant role at Porchester Group/MI Group, David quickly worked his way up through the echelons of finance, taking on roles with increased leadership responsibilities throughout the years. As a dynamic and self-motivated individual, David impressed his superiors every step of the way and by 1995 had achieved the position of Regional Director for Berkeley Morgan, IFA. In this role, David held responsibility for ensuring that annual sales targets were met and exceeded. He was also instrumental in formulating training, coaching and mentoring strategies, developing recruitment procedures and building strategic sales plans identifying key opportunities, strengths and weaknesses. The new millennium saw a new opportunity for David, who began to work for J. Rothschild Assurance in the initial capacity of Senior Sales Manager. David would continue to work under the banner of J. Rothschild for almost a decade and a half with many notable achievements on the way. Between January 2007 and December 2009 David established the St. James’s Place Academy, a training and development centre for those with no prior experience of providing expert financial advice to qualify as professional wealth managers. The Academy went from zero to £10 million per annum throughout David’s time at the helm and recruited more than eighty new financial advisors. In 2013, David left J. Rothschild in order to offer independent financial advice and consultancy to first Inspire IFA and second Mansion Park.

Outside of his professional interests, David McMorrow is an enthusiastic sportsman and has enjoyed much success in this area of his life. David has played rugby on a regional level for Richmond and was once selected to bobsleigh for Great Britain, even featuring in the 1983 “Who’s Who” section of International Sports Sphere Books Ltd, an interesting fact many will be surprised to hear about this accomplished individual
