David Puth

Financial professional David Puth, who is based in Boston, most recently worked as the Head of Global Markets and Securities Finance at State Street Corporation. Before joining State Street, Puth spent nearly two decades at JPMorgan Chase. He departed from JPMorgan Chase in 2007 to found the Eriska Group, a New York-based risk management consulting firm. David Puth concurrently served as a Senior Advisor and Board Member at J.H. Whitney Investment Management.

Prior to his departure from JPMorgan Chase, David Puth held a number of senior roles at the company. In 2002, he was promoted to Global Head of the bank’s Currencies and Commodities business. During the period of 2002 through 2006, these businesses produced annual revenue growth of more than 20 percent and helped to transform the bank into a world leader in currency, metals, and related commodities.

Puth also oversaw the reconstruction of the energy trading and sales divisions of JP Morgan, which brought the bank to the top of the North American markets in power and gas. In 2006, David Puth expanded his responsibilities to include the management of the JP Morgan Global Emerging Markets businesses in Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.

Upon leaving the bank in 2007, Puth held the title of Managing Director and was a member of the Investment Bank Management Committee and the JP Morgan Executive Committee. Puth holds a BA in Political Science from Tufts University. He resides in Boston and devotes his time to serving on the boards of community and educational foundations.
