David Birnbaum

I grew up in Brooklyn. At age 18, my first year of college, I ended up in a wheelchair (paralyzed, quadriplegic) due to an auto accident in Park Slope, Brooklyn - but that never slowed down my life or sense of humor. My essays have been in the NY Times Magazine, NY Press, and college textbooks. I've been doing standup comedy part-time as a hobby since 2000 at most of the popular clubs in Manhattan, Brooklyn, NJ, Long Island -- also in Fla & Calif. I have a website (see below in my contact info) w/ my standup schedule. I recently have taken a break from doing shows to focus on other things - mostly writing. By day, I direct creative & technical teams that develop corporate training, web portals, internet & intranet sites, Online learning and eLearning. I'm also into SEO & SEM. I currently have a great job at Coldwell Banker, LLC & Cldwell Banker Commercial, leading their universities. Places I worked at: NYU Biofeedback Labs, Bell Laboratories Artifical Intelligence (AI) Research, AT&T Graphic Systems, Lucent eCommerce, AT&T Online Learning, DiversityInc.com and I now lead a corporate training department I'd love to hear from old friends.
