I am a Security Operations professional transitioning into Software Engineering and Cybersecurity — and documenting the process along the way.
I’m currently completing my Computer Programming & Analysis degree at Hillsborough Community College (3.5 GPA) while pursuing my CompTIA Security+ certification. My background is in security operations supervision at financial institutions and data centers, which gives me a practical lens on why cybersecurity isn’t just theoretical — it’s the infrastructure that everything else depends on.
Before security, I spent 13+ years in customer service leadership across USAA, Walgreens, Home Depot, WinCo Foods, and Costco Wholesale. I’m also CSPO and AI Foundations Engineering certified.
What I bring to technical roles isn’t just coursework — it’s operational judgment, leadership under pressure, and the kind of cross-functional communication that makes security and engineering teams actually function.
