David Holder
David “Dbass” Holder Born April 25th 1983 in Dover, DE and raised in Wyandanch, NY. He began piano lessons at age five, picked up percussion and drums for the school band at age ten and found the electric bass at age twelve. He practiced and performed weekly althrough highschool as well as in his church's youth ministry. After graduating valedictorian in 2001 he continued pursuing music at Five Towns College, obtaining an AAS in Jazz Performance and a BS in Music Composition. During and after college he recorded, performed and was the musical director for bands and artists such as; The Senate (Rock band 5yrs), Focus (R&B; band 5yrs), The Long Island Philharmonic (Gospel Concert), Kerry "Krucial" Brothers (Krucial Keys Productions), Dwayne Wiggins (Tony Toni Toné), Melvin "Wah Wah Watson" Ragin (Motown Records/ The Funk Brothers), Leon Ware (Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" album), Blu Cantrell (Arista artist), Lil G (former lead singer of Silk), Jermaine Paul (season 2 winner The Voice), Lyfe Jennings (Sony artist 2yrs), Chrisette Michele (Island Def Jam artist 2yrs) and Alicia Keys (J Records artist). He has also been a private music instructor for 7yrs, giving theory, vocal, bass, piano, guitar & drum lessons to all ages. And was a teacher at his Alma Mater from 2009-2011, teaching music theory and band to grades 6-12. Currently, David plays with a wedding band called Radio Riot
