Civil engineer and tutor Deanna Arrigo is an assistant resident engineer for Ghirardelli Associates in Roseville, California. In this role, she assisted a Caltrans resident engineer with the management of a $17.5 million widening and curve realignment in Smartsville, California. Deanna Arrigo's responsibilities also include construction inspection and management as well as storm water coordination.
A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Ms. Arrigo is a part time professor at her alma mater where she teaches engineering economics. In addition to her teaching schedule, she maintains a passion for equipping the next generation of engineers and regularly speaks about the field to middle school and high school students. Deanna Arrigo also invites students who are interested in engineering to job shadowing events where they can ask questions, tour job sites, and explore various career options.
