Deborah J. Thompson

Deborah spent the first half of her career in Corporate Marketing–Advertising, Public Relations, Market Research, Sales, Media Relations, Community Outreach, and Communications. Always an artist at heart, Marketing was the most creative major that she could convince her father to help finance!

After 20+ years, she deserved a mid-life crisis. With a strong message from God, she enrolled in art school and embarked upon a life-changing journey. One creative outlet led to another and before you could say Impressionism, she was elbow deep in clay, a camera hung around her neck, writing a book.

She is a Contributing Writer for Fido Friendly magazine, exploring fun places to visit and things to do with your pets, preserving her visual memories via her beloved cameras. She's contributed extensively to Crosswalk.com–one of the largest, most well-respected Christian sites on the web, and writes for the "The Fish" family of Christian radio stations around the country.

She's interviewed noted Christian writers, speakers, and musicians: Jennifer Rothschild, Lysa TerKeurst, Emily Colson (Chuck Colson's daughter) and Michael O'Brien–former lead singer for the Contemporary Christian Group, NewSong. She's had the privilege of interviewing John Croyle–outstanding football player at the University of AL under Bear Bryant. John turned down a lucrative NFL career opportunity to open a home for abused, neglected and abandoned children. The Big Oak Ranches have helped over 1800 children lead productive, stable, God-centered lives. She's been fortunate to interview Father Nadim Nassar–Director of The Awareness Project, and the first Episopal Priest of Syrian descent in the Church of England.
