Debra L. Kaplan
Debra L. Kaplan, MBA, MA, LISAC, LAC, CMAT, CSAT-S is a licensed therapist in Tucson, Arizona, specializing in sex and love addiction counseling; issues of attachment and intimacy and complex traumatic stress issues that are often rooted in unresolved childhood trauma.
Debra is a recognized figure in the field of sex addiction and holds an active faculty position with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). She works with individuals and couples in the treatment of issues related to addiction, betrayal and intimacy and facilitates men’s sex addiction and women’s intimacy task/process groups.
As such, Debra maintains active memberships in the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), the International Society for Traumatic Stress (ISTSS), and EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Debra presents nationally on trauma and sex addiction and authors numerous articles and blog publications.
Her forthcoming book, For the Love of Money: Exploring Sexual and Financial Betrayal in Relationship is due for publication in 2013.
