I am currently a senior at Western Connecticut State University majoring in professional writing.

I am hoping to land a job after I graduate as either a journalist or working for a non-profit organization. I plan to attend graduate school to enhance my writing skills shortly after I finish my undergraduate program. My dream job is to work for an up and coming online journalism site. I am fond of Patch.com. I use their website to learn of local news not only in the city my school is located, but my hometown as well.

Currently I am working on building my resume by obtaining writing experience of any kind. For now, I am mostly engaged in my internship at The Mercurial. The Mercurial is an online news site in Danbury.

Outside of writing, I really enjoy doing community volunteer work. In the past I've volunteered at my grandmother's church and was an intern for United Way in Hartford, Conn.
