For public relations professional Denise Kovalevich, her careerhas been all about change. Change in technology, change in clients, change inaudience, change in media, even change in how she approaches the press. But onething that has never changed for her is this – her commitment to her clientsand her passion for the field of public relations.
Known for her excellent writing and media relations skills,Kovalevich has had the pleasure of working with some of the top industryleaders, the most famous names in Hollywood and the best talent in music.
Starting her career in the agency world, Kovalevich managedaccounts that ranged from real estate and project management giants includingthe Gordon Group, who developed the Pier at Caesar’s in Atlantic City, and HillInternational, who were responsible for Palm Island in Dubai, as well ascelebrated Philadelphia, PA restaurants Susanna Foo, Cuba Libre and PositanoCoast. During this time, she not only earned her Master’s degree in publicrelations from Rowan University at night (graduating with highest honors in2003), but she also worked tirelessly to secure local and national press for herclients and obtained coverage in such outlets as The Wall Street Journal, Time,Forbes, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Style,Food + Wine, and more.
She later entered the music world, working as the VP of TourPress for a music PR agency where she oversaw such iconic artists as Steve Vai,Judas Priest, Eric Johnson, Iron Maiden, Helmet, King’s X, and more. In doingso, she partnered with record labels and tour managers to secure press inregional tour markets as well as in such national outlets as Billboard,Rolling Stone, Guitar World, Guitar Player, VH1, and more.
After a decade of working in the agency world, Kovalevichdecided to give the corporate side a try and went to work with retail giant QVCas the PR Manager, where she oversaw the PR for all of the musical artists thatappeared on the network, including Justin Bieber, Sheryl Crow, Hall and Oates,James Taylor, Willie Nelson and more, as well as such brands as celebrities asHeidi Klum, Melania Trump, Joan Rivers, Isaac Mizrahi, and C Wonder amongothers. As such, she routinely secured placements in such outlets as Redbook,O! The Oprah Magazine, Family Circle, People Stylewatch, InStyle, EntertainmentTonight/The Insider and more.
