Throughout his career in purchasing and procurement, Dennis DeMarino has focused on optimizing savings and minimizing expenses. He entered the field as an Expeditor, then Buyer for the Hess Oil Company at their Woodbridge, N.J. headquarters. There he learned how to track orders from purchase order to final delivery. When promoted to Buyer he implemented a "hot list" which the company incorporated. This was a list of items that were very important and needed quickly at the refinery. After leaving Hess Oil Company, He took his skills and knowledge to Ronpak Incorporated as a purchasing manager., Ronpak is a manufacturer of plastic and paper bags for fast food chains. Working with clients such as McDonald’s and Taco Bell, Dennis DeMarino developed a purchasing system that enabled the company to benefit financially from the savings of bulk purchases of raw materials.

Subsequently after Hess Oil Company he was named the Purchasing Specialist for the Woodbridge Township School District, Dennis DeMarino implemented the first ever centralized purchasing department for this large suburban school district. Dennis DeMarino coordinated the purchasing needs of the 24 school and 31 buildings with only a staff of 2 secretaries. Dennis DeMarino, after six years as the Purchasing Specialist and after six years of documented savings he was promoted to Business Administrator/ Board Secretary where oversaw a $200 million budget that funded 24 schools with 13,600 students. He managed a total of eight departments including the purchasing department and secured a fully balanced budget for 11 years in succession. Dennis DeMarino was also successful in completing two multimillion-dollar projects (one for 86 million and one for 40 million) under budget and on time. Mr. DeMarino also implemented a communication system that saves the district more than $200,000 annually. He remains actively involved in his community as a volunteer youth football coach, a participant in several charitable walks and races, including the Relay for Life and the walk for breast cancer.
