being an undergraduate at North Carolina Central university and changing my major two times i have found my passion (child development and family relations). growing up i have always had a soft spot for children younger than me that's struggling with a situation. i hope to help the younger children see that its more to life then what they are surrounded by. for the teens i want to be able to build and achieve their goals in life.
i was raised with all of the support and love that a child needs that's why i aim to give others what i had. my mother has a heart just as big as mine and soft spot for children as well. she has had an in home daycare for years now.she has been my inspiration. i have been able to get the drift of what i will someday be doing on my own. interacting with her kids i have gained patience. being a leader is all i know. as long as i have a mind of my own then the children around me will be great. my honesty and outgoing personality has gotten me so far. i have learned that those are the main two characteristics you need in order to build a bond with the youth. as long as i am able to influence those looking up to me i am sure to change lives. soon after receiving the education that's required i will open up a child care service. my service will provide day care and after school care along with summer camps. i believe that if you keep kids busy the less interest they will have in the streets.
