DIANE NGUYEN

San Francisco, California, United States

Diane believes that active compassion toward each other’s wellbeing and health is a universal responsibility. Her outlook and love for the global community is most inspired by the triumphs of her parents, who—as Vietnamese refugees and prisoners of war—experienced devastating levels of torture, struggle, and loss. Her vision is to benefit the lives of those she loves, and those of all others around her, by mobilizing community-empowerment through education, technology-integration, and relevant health services.

Born and raised in Colorado, she also knows a thing-or-two about dry summers and cruel blizzards. Currently, however, she's dedicated to the San Francisco Bay Area and negotiating her feelings about dense fog. She occupies the rest of her free time with fitness, her dog, and motorcycle riding.
