"Sewing Keeps Me Sane" is my tagline because I sew practically every day and no matter what else happens in life, working on sewing projects is relaxing and seeing them move forward to completion keeps me calm with a positive feeling of accomplishment. I love the creative process of designing & sewing my own unique clothing. I also enjoy custom fitting and repairing vintage and thrift store finds.

Recently, I retired as a Diet Tech specializing in Medical Nutrition Therapy and now work part time at my long time favorite restaurant to socialize, stay active and help rationalize paying for ballroom dancing lessons.

Faced with the fact that my closet was over flowing plus the reality that I wear the same outfits all the time, I decided, it was time to diversify and began making simple quilts for family as baby gifts. Sourcing fabrics is great fun and the whole process of coordinating colorful patterns, piecing blocks and finally quilting the sandwich and binding the piece is to me, both a productive and rewarding experience especially when combined with listening to NPR or watching Roku.

My wardrobe is centered around a bicycle & train transit style along with some restaurant & ballroom dancing costumes. I am sewing less clothing, but am always busy with varied projects which I will share with you. I hope you will inspired to sew and express your own unique self.
