Dillon Bates
Dillon Bates is a lifelong Mainer, and a fresh political voice for Portland. Involved in both public education and healthcare, Dillon has unique perspectives into these two incredibly important facets of our lives, and will bring the insight gained there to Augusta. These issues affect us all, and it is no secret that by focusing on and fixing these two systems, the economic charge created would be huge. As a congressman, Dillon will not be beholden to any group or viewpoint other than that of his constituents: a rarity in politics today. As a congressional intern, a 2008 and 2012 delegate to the Democratic state convention, and a member of local and national campaigns, Dillon has the political intuition to make politics work for the people he represents. Portland deserves a voice that speaks for its best interests, regardless of the circumstances. Dillon Bates will be that representative.
Dillon is running as a Maine Clean Elections Act Candidate, meaning that he has taken a pledge to only accept public funding. Thank you to everyone who helped Dillon qualify for MCEA candidacy.
