Dimitri Gontscharow

An information technology (IT) specialist, Dimitri Gontscharow is currently an IT Support Manager for USEC Inc., a position he has held since 2004. USEC Inc. is one of the world’s leading suppliers of enriched uranium fuel and other services vital to the commercial nuclear power plant industry. USEC Inc. has five locations throughout the United States and 1,900 employees, with Dimitri Gontscharow working at company headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. Dimitri Gontscharow is responsible for the resolution of computer-related technical issues at both corporate headquarters and at various field locations. As support manager, Gontscharow has improved staff efficiency, maintained superior customer service, and has created training materials to enhance the knowledge of various software applications for corporate personnel at USEC Inc. Previously, Dimitri Gontscharow gained experience as an assistant help desk manager and team leader with Network Alliance, Inc. in Fairfax, Virginia. In this role, he led a staff of 12 technicians and was responsible for on-site Help Desk support. Gontscharow has also worked as Team Lead and Senior Customer Support Technician with Verizon, Inc. in Falls Church, Virginia; Information Systems Trainer and Senior Customer Support Technician with Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP, also in Falls Church; and as a Customer Support Technician for Robbins-Gioia, Inc. in Alexandria, Virginia. Dimitri Gontscharow completed a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Area Studies from Queens College-CUNY, in Flushing, New York, before earning professional certifications at Computer Learning Center in Alexandria, Virginia, and New Horizons CLC in Tyson Corner, Virginia, to prepare himself for a career in information technology. In his spare time, Dimitri Gontscharow enjoys traveling, hiking, gardening, fishing, and completing home improvement projects. He also enjoys all types of music, playing bass guitar, and singing his local choir.
