I started The Dip in the Nip in 2009 from a crazy idea I had to raise money for breast cancer. Now in it's 7th year, it is still an entirely voluntary event with 5 Dips taking place nationwide each year.

Not only does it raise money for local cancer charities (the money raised at each Dip stays in that locale), but it has also become an important way of people coming to accept, and even love, their bodies, regardless of shape, size, or lumpy bits! It's as though running naked into the water re-connects people with their bodies, and helps them shed all the negative emotions
