Dmitri Ilkaev has 20 years of experience in computer science, software design, and technology development. Throughout his professional career Dmitri has served as Chief Technology Officer, VP of Technology and Enterprise Architect for major Fortune 500 companies and for government agencies on a full time of project basis. Before joining Thermo Fisher Dmitri Ilkaev worked as Executive Architect for Unisys Corporation, where he was in charge of multi-engineering-discipline project teams and remediation teams for large enterprise client engagements with a typical contract values of $50M (with the largest one for $800M). His responsibilities include: guaranteeing that requirements & technical solutions are synchronized and meet project budgets; ensuring that proposed architectures are sound and aligned with corporate assets and competencies; providing guidance to secure proper technical partner/vendor selections including off shore ones; and approving the total engineering solution including cross-divisional/Unisys-wide and third party technical trade-off decisions, approach, costs and schedules. Prior to Unisys, Dr. Ilkaev worked for 6 years as VP of Technology for Tier Technologies, Inc., building large scale mission critical systems for financial services, payment processing, e-commerce, healthcare and public sector clients. He had run projects up to 300 people on the team and was in charge of joint development activities with Accenture, Bearing Point, IBM, EDS, Ciber, Cognizant, ACS, Keane and other large system integrators. In his prior work history, Dr. Ilkaev has served as CTO for small to medium companies and startups (www.Info.com www.iBuilder.com www.AdCamo.com), helping them both launch their business and build their technology from scratch or move their technology to the next level of scalability and functionality. Dr. Ilkaev has a Masters Degree in Physics from Moscow State University and a Ph.D in Computer Sciences from the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His US based career had started in early 90th when Dmitri was working as R&D; Director of one of the Motorola Research Labs. Dr.Ilkaev is a Practicing Member of the World Wide Institute of Software Architects and an active member of INCOSE (International Council of System Engineering).
