Who am I?
I would say an extremely curious, communicative, progressive thinking and enthusiastic digital native with a faible for science and technology.
But let`s start from scrach:
I was born in Reutlingen (south of Stuttgart, South Germany) in 1982, finished school receiving the Abitur to study Biology at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. I finished there with a Diploma degree in Microbiology at the Department of Microbial Genetics.
In 2011, I was co-founding cecolabs UG, a biotech spin-off providing highly pure microbial compounds, cell wall isolation and analysis services and much more.
Unfortunately, we had to close the company, because of several, but typical reasons. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic experience and this throwback did never disenchant me.
In 2015, I completed my doctorate at the same department, where I was working on peptidoglycan of staphylococci and its role in intestinal bowel diseases and human food allergies. I could accumulate extensive experience in microbiology, cell culture, immunology and also analytical chemistry, mostly HPLC/UPLC. Also in 2015, I decided to set up my own blog to provide easy understandable science topics to an interested audience.
Currently, I am working as Business Development Manager at a global player in the field of microbiology.
If you want to get in touch with me, please feel free to contact me via e-mail or check out my LinkedIn, Xing or ResearchGate profiles.
