Don Lindsey has a deep history of commitment to the city of Alameda, California. A retired real estate broker and developer, he leveraged his professional skills to spearhead the restoration of a number of buildings, including the historic Tin Building. Don Lindsey also directed the construction of a new police station and hospital in Alameda.

He managed the latter project during his tenure as president of the hospital. In this capacity, he successfully negotiated physician contracts and responsibly managed the hospital’s finances. A trusted executive, he also provided leadership to the city’s business community as president of the local Chamber of Commerce chapter.

Mr. Lindsey is the former owner of a 100-employee real estate brokerage, which he operated for 40 years before selling in 2005. Outside of his real estate career (highlights of which also include a tenure as president of the city’s Board of Realtors and a lifetime achievement award from the Bay East Board of Realtors), he provided oversight to Alameda First National Bank as a longtime member of its board of directors.
