Dr.Debabrata Mukherjee

Dr. Debabrata Mukherjee (Mukhopadhyay) is a vastly experienced Neurosurgeon who has worked in eminent Institutions in India and abroad. He has done his post graduation under guidance of Prof B Ramamurthi, the father of Neurosurgery in India. The basic Neurology teaching was conferred by Prof Krishnamurthi Srinivas the first DM, Neurology of India and one of the best teachers India ever had.

Following his post graduation he did a clinical fellowship in Surgical Neuro Oncology in Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, Canada, one of the best Neuroscience institutions in the world. He was actively involved here in all clinical and academic activities.

He did a visiting Fellowship from Sunny Upstate University, NY, USA in complex spine and Cyberknife.

He worked in Vimhans Hospital, one of the country`s eminent Neuroscience institute in New Delhi as Senior consultant and unit head. Simultaneously he performed Gamma Knife surgeries. He was associated as consultant Neurosurgery in Artemis health institute Gurgaon a 250 bedded state of art hospital.

He worked with great Neurosurgeons of India and abroad like Prof A K Banerji, Prof. F. Gentili and Prof. Ab. Guha. He has worked with eminent Neuro scientists, Neurophysicians and Neuropathologists and involved in several clinical researches.

Dr. Mukherjee is well versed with all neuro navigation techniques of different systems like Brain lab, Medtronic and Stryker. He performs frameless stereotaxy and awake craniotomies, where patient is awake as brain tumor is being removed. Many times it is done as a daycare procedure. He performs complex spine surgeries for degenerative disorders and trauma.

He has performed more than 1500 surgeries in India and Canada and about 50 Gamma Knife surgeries. He is a successful teacher and involved in teaching paramedical and medical students in India and abroad. He was nominated as best teacher in Toronto. He is also an author of many paper and text book chapters of international publications like Elsevier. His contribution in a clinical research nominated an award by AANS, USA.

Dr. Mukherjee feels an utmost responsibility for the financially challenged section of the society. He always volunteers for their well being and good health.

His present position is SeniorConsultant Neurosurgeon Kailash group of Hospitals.

He performs cranial, Spinal and Gamma Knife surgeries.
