Rheumatologist and internist Bryan Douglas Gescuk, M.D., has served as an attending physician at San Mateo Medical Center since 2002. Currently, he functions as the chief of medicine for the hospital, having previously lent his time and experience as the chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and as a member of the Medical-Executive Committee. Additionally, he has twice won a resident teaching award from the hospital. On top of his work with San Mateo Medical Center, Dr. Bryan Gescuk is the chief medical officer of his own concierge medical practice, Gescuk Medical Services, Inc., which he established in 2015.

Dr. Bryan Douglas Gescuk attended Harvard College for his B.A. in psychology and graduated cum laude. He then enrolled at the Boston University School of Medicine, where he completed a Ph.D. in pharmacology with a dissertation that focused on the effects of morphine in rats exposed to acute and chronic foot shock and condition stress. He went on to earn his M.D. from the same school. Dr. Gescuk completed additional training with a fellowship and a residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
