Dr Dennis Hooper

Texas-based pathologist Dr. Dennis Hooper has a history of leading private and government medical units and organizations. Presently, he owns, operates, and oversees research at Medical Services Consultation, International, in Dallas. His other current roles include medical director of and consultant for Real Time Laboratories, LLC, and owner of and consultant for Medical Service Consultation, P.A., both also based in Dallas. Dr. Dennis Hooper maintains licenses to practice in both Texas and California. He began his medical career in San Diego as a pathologist with the U.S. Navy.

Dr. Dennis Hooper served in the U.S. military for more than three decades. The recipient of a master’s degree and Ph.D. in microbiology, he worked as a laboratory supervisor at a U.S. naval hospital before returning to school to become a doctor. He received his doctor of medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego.

Among his many military leadership positions, Dr. Dennis Hooper chaired the Naval Medical Center San Diego’s Department of Pathology, and he worked as a special advisor in pathology to the Surgeon General of the Navy. More recently, he oversaw microbiology and transfusion services at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, and he served as an associate professor of pathology at The University of Texas at Tyler. Dr. Hooper retired from the U.S. Navy in 2001 with the rank of Captain (O-6).
