Since 1992, Dr. Doug Cusick has performed plastic surgery services at his private practice in Leawood, Kansas. Dr. Doug Cusick offers a variety of plastic, reconstructive, cosmetic, and hand surgical procedures. Additionally, he disseminates his expertise in the field through his work as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Kansas Medical Center Department of Plastic Surgery.
Prior to launching his career, Dr. Doug Cusick received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, where he graduated magna cum laude. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine. Dr. Doug Cusick followed this with a general surgery internship at the Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he remained to complete his general surgery residency. He went on to complete his plastic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
As an active participant in his professional community, Dr. Doug Cusick has been a member of many organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Metropolitan Medical Society. Over the course of his career, Dr. Cusick has presented and published numerous papers on various medical subjects, including chest wall reconstruction and surgical and medical approaches to traumatic alopecia.
Dr. Doug Cusick is married and has three sons. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Far East, and South America. He actively participates in surgical mission work. In his spare time, Dr. Cusick woodworks, designs, and builds pneumatic valvular mechanical systems for antique musical instruments. He also enjoys golf, scuba diving, skiing, cycling, and a variety of other sports.
