Dr. Eric Cohen
Respected physician Dr. Eric Cohen specializes in clinical trials and neurology at Summit Medical Group. He is a current Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City as well as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Piscataway. In addition, Dr. Cohen serves as an Attending Physician for Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey.
Dr. Eric Cohen started his journey as a neurologist in 1996 with an undergraduate degree in biology from Indiana University Bloomington. Next, he entered medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Earning his medical degree in 2001, Dr. Cohen received his board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
After completing his education, Dr. Eric Cohen started his career with an internship at Maimonides Medical Center at the Brooklyn-based Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Cohen remained in New York to complete his residency in neurology at the New York University Langone Medical Center where he eventually served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Eric Cohen attended the New York University Langone Medical Center fellowship program where he explored clinical neurophysiology with special attention given to electromyography (EMG), electroencephalogram (EEG), and epilepsy.
His outstanding work and professional achievements earned FOUR consecutive years of awards as a Top Doctor in New Jersey from the New Jersey Monthly magazine.
