Jackey's educational background includes a Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D) from Phillips Graduate Institute, and a Masters of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Southern California School of Social Work.

Summation of professional experience includes working in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings, Having over five years’ experience as Children’s Social Worker III, with Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (Adoptions, Emergency/Immediate Response, and Bureau of the Medical Director; Medical Placement) managing complex caseloads, dealing with at-risk children and youth in various organic and non-clinical settings; prior to transitioning into medical social worker with Antelope Valley Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Currently, Jackey is a full-time Trainer Consultant with the California State University Long Beach Child Welfare Research Center.

In addition, Jackey has been a full-time Lecturer at California State University Long Beach, in the Social Work Department, as well as an adjunct faculty member with Azusa Pacific University for over 3 years. Jackey has passionately, and effectively taught (Human Growth and Development, Social Work Policy, Social Work Practice with Groups and Families, and Public Child Welfare), within the Graduate and Undergraduate School of Social Work.

From an Organizational management perspective, Jackey is trained at the Doctoral level to manage and understand the needs of organizations, not limited understanding human behavior and organizational systems. His unique ability to think outside the box, and apply knowledge and experience using research for effective decision-making provides him a solid foundation for ensuring student success and organizational effectiveness.
