Originally from California, Dr. Justin Groode also grew up in Hawaii where he was exposed to an “earthy” culture of spiritual retreats, bodywork, a variety of healing modalities and alternative therapies and ways of life. After studying for 2 years personally with renowned homeopath David Little, Dr. Groode pursued a Master’s in Homeopathy, which he completed in 2000, prior to attending medical school.

Dr. Justin Groode received his M.D. from Ben-Gurion University/Columbia University Medical School for International Health in Israel and New York, then completed his internship in Medicine at The Cambridge Hospital and his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts. After residency he worked in the Boston area as a family physician and functional/integrative medicine specialist at the Marino Center for Integrative Health and then Visions Medical Center.

Dr. Justin Groode feels that his diverse background in the healing arts gives him a balanced perspective, from which he can empower others with knowledge and options. He feels that it is only the individual that has the power to modify his/her lifestyle choices and that doctors and the medical establishment frequently usurp credit for healing that is not theirs to take.

Dr. Justin Groode sees his approach to health as the antithesis to the ‘one-size-fits-all’ protocol oriented approach that defines the mainstream healthcare paradigm today. In contrast to grouping symptoms into a common diagnosis that can become a shared label, Dr. Groode wants to know what makes an individual unique. Looking for one’s idiosyncrasies rather than for one’s similarities to others is the key to figuring out what is needed to change one’s health reality. Dr. Groode credits his philosophy of healing to his brilliant first teacher, David Little. He believes that healthfulness is the natural state of the human experience, which can change negatively when deranged by any variety of potential influencing factors, either internal or external, but usually both.

Dr. Groode is excited to launch a nutritional supplement start-up (Pathway Formulas LLC) in October 2017 in which he is the founder and master formulator.
