An experienced physician and current staff radiation oncologist with the John Peter Smith Cancer Center in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Marta Dahiya has established herself as a leader in gynecologic radiation oncology. She was instrumental in the establishment of the gynecologic radiation oncology practice at Radiation Oncology of San Antonio, PA, where she also treated patients with High Dose Rate Brachytherapy.

In terms of research, Dr. Marta Dahiya has authored publications on topics such as candida glabrata as an emerging cause of oropharyngeal candidiasis in patients undergoing radiation therapy for head and neck cancers. Other research topics have included radiation treatment of recurrent pheochromocytoma of the bladder and antiretroviral therapy for recurrent oropharyngeal candidiasis.

Dr. Marta Dahiya is a certified member of the American Board of Radiology, the Texas Medical Association, and the Bexar County Medical Society. Aside from her formal professional work, she regularly treats cancer patients unable to afford health care.
